2009 Schedule

Our camping and multi sport tours have been designed to highlight Alaska's intact ecosystems, abundant wildlife and adventurous day tours located near and within national parks and protected areas. We camp at least two nights at most locations, with occasional hotel or cabins thrown in, allowing us time to get to know these areas and to participate in a variety of different sightseeing and adventure tours.


CLASSIC ALASKAN TOUR (7 Days)

We’ll spend two nights deep in Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, an area known for its beauty and abundant wildlife, camped near one the many outstanding local lakes. Next we'll explore the glaciers and wildlife in Kenai Fjords National Park. This evening we'll stay at a local hotel. Finally, we'll head north to Denali National Park home of the largest mountain in North America and abundant wildlife.

Canoeing in the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and near Denali National Park

Full day bus tour in Denali National Park to search for wildlife and Mt. McKinley

Excellent hiking opportunities throughout

For the Adventurous

Whitewater and scenic river rafting, Mt. biking, glacier/ wildlife cruises, dog mushing, world class fishing, flight seeing, sea kayaking and more!

WILDLAND GLACIER TOUR (7 Days)

We’ll camp near the base of the Matanuska Glacier and have the opportunity to walk on its immense snout. We’ll travel deep within Wrangell St. Elias National Park to experience the area’s fascinating human and geological history. For the next 2 nights we’ll stay at either a local historic hotel or in local cabins amidst a backdrop of immense glaciers and ice falls. Next we’re off to explore the temperate rainforest and glaciers near Valdez. A half day scenic ferry trip across Prince William Sound will bring us back to the Kenai Peninsula and Hope, the best preserved gold rush town in South Central Alaska. Please Note: this itinerary may operate in a slightly different order due to changes in ferry schedule and or local conditions. All destinations will be featured, but the order may be altered.

Travel north of Fairbanks to the far north on an excursion into some of the most remote areas accessible by road in the country. Our journey brings us across the Yukon River, the Arctic Circle, to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the Arctic Ocean. Excellent remote hiking opportunities throughout including in the famous Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Not included: internal flight to or from Prudhoe Bay and or Fairbanks. WILDLIFE TOUR (10 DAYS)

For those with wildlife viewing as a primary objective this trip is one of our best. We’ll visit 3 of Alaska’s most wildlife rich environments: Kenai Fjords National Park with its abundant marine wildlife, Denali National Park and its abundant large animals and the Denali Highway region with abundant bird life. Your chance of viewing and photographing wildlife is outstanding at these locations. Look for bears, whales, sea lions, moose, caribou, Dall sheep, fox, Bald Eagles, swans, and lots more. Please Note: This itinerary may operate in a slightly different order depending on ferry schedules and local conditions. All destinations of the itinerary will be the same, only the destination order will be altered.
